Head of Operations / Plant Manager (m/f/d)

Our much valued client, a medium-sized and family-run company, has been a reliable business partner to renowned national and international companies for many decades manufacturing high-quality packaging machines as well as transportation and handling systems. For their production site in the US (Eagan/Minnesota) we are looking for a professional candidate for the following position:

• Responsible for the results of the Operations department
• (mechanical/electrical design, commissioning & service, assembly) - Matrix organization
• Future-oriented and trend-setting personnel management and development as well as efficient personnel deployment planning
• Ensuring the continuous technical development and technical leadership of the company
• Ensuring that customer projects run smoothly in collaboration with the subordinate teams
• Securing the technically flawless and timely execution of high quality orders
• Ongoing analysis and optimization of internal processes with regard to quality, costs, productivity, etc.
• Continuous improvement of all processes
• Reporting to the COO
• Implementation/monitoring of all relevant accident prevention and occupational health and safety regulations
• Implementation and monitoring of all relevant instructions and risk assessments

• Degree in production engineering or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable industry environment
• Leadership skills and ability to lead coupled with empathy
• Profound knowledge of mechanical engineering
• Competent knowledge of ERP
• Claim management and standards/safety guidelines/work safety
• Entrepreneurial, long-term oriented way of thinking and a strong commercial understanding
• Sound understanding of processes
