Eram Talent is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Saudi Arabia. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Executive Chef in the overall operations of the kitchen. You will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of the kitchen staff, ensuring that all food items are prepared and served according to established recipes and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in planning and developing menus and recipes.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of the kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and timely production.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in various cooking techniques and proper food handling procedures.
- Ensure that all food items are prepared and cooked to the highest standard of quality and presentation.
- Monitor food costs and portion control, making adjustments as necessary to meet budgetary goals.
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new menu items and specials.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new ideas into menu planning.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, cuisines, and ingredients.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
