Automation Engineer with focus on test bed automation f/m/d

As a dedicated addition to our 12-strong team, you will have the opportunity to develop innovative automation applications for pioneering technologies such as electric motors, batteries, combustion engines, inverters and fuel cells. Accompany the entire development process - from planning, implementation and validation to commissioning and supporting our exciting global customer projects. Contribute your know-how and creative solutions to our dynamic environment at AVL and actively shape the future of automation technology!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Development of automation applications for combustion engines, electric motors, batteries, inverters, fuel cells, components, virtual test systems

• Experience all phases of application development:

• Plan: requirements elicitation, application specification, functional descriptions, definition of test cases and final acceptance criteria

• Create: Implementing applications

• Testing: application validation in virtual environments

• Deploy: Application commissioning and final acceptance support

• Continuous collaboration and coordination with other technical disciplines

• Support efficient and harmonized commissioning by verifying the software configuration, defining the commissioning process, preparing all data relevant for commissioning and providing second level support

• Supporting the global sales team and performing concept development and effort estimations to fulfill customer requirements

• Advising and supporting customers with AVL automation systems on test field-related topics (e.g. IT, functionality)

• Conducting training courses for internal and external participants

• Support and troubleshooting of complex systems for customers

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed education (Secondary Technical College/University/University of Applied Sciences) in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology or communication technology
• At least 3 years of professional experience in automation technology
• High customer and application orientation
• Openness and curiosity for new technologies
• Systematic and analytical way of working
• Good comprehension and understanding of systems
• Problem solving skills
• Business fluent in English, knowledge of German is an advantage
• Willingness to travel 20 percent of the time worldwide for commissioning purposes

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €50,000.00. The Employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
