AMS Design Engineer (f/m/div)

We are seeking a talented and experienced Analog Mixed-Signal Designer to join our team and focus on the design and development of high-performance Analog-to-Digital Converters (ADCs). You will be responsible for all aspects of the ADC design process, from concept development and architecture definition to design and simulation.

In your new role you will:

• Design high-performance, low-power, and high-resolution ADCs for various applications.
• Perform in-depth analysis of ADC specifications and translate them into circuit designs.
• Develop circuit schematics and perform simulations using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Collaborate with digital designers to ensure seamless integration of the ADC into the overall system.
• Analyze and optimize ADC performance metrics such as Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR), Effective Number of Bits (ENOB), and power consumption.
• Participate in characterization and testing of fabricated ADCs.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest ADC architectures, technologies, and design techniques.
• Document design decisions and maintain clear and concise design documentation

We are filling this position through one of our leasing partners. A valid work permit for Austria or EU citizenship is a prerequisite for this position. This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees of EEI (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2024.pdf) with a minimum salary of € 4.215,39. The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing high-performance, low-power ADCs using CMOS or BiCMOS processes.
• Expertise in transistor-level circuit design and simulation techniques.
• Remarkable understanding of analog circuit theory, noise analysis, and signal integrity concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Experience with industry-standard EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler) is a plus.
