Master Thesis: Asynchronous Logic Design (f/m/div)

Some of the benefits of asynchronous logic vs traditional synchronous logic design are lower power, lower latency and reduced EMI. Today there are new methodologies that allow asynchronous design to be robust, testable and easily integrated into current flows.
We are looking for someone who wants to experience the full flow of mixed signal asynchronous circuit design from architecture through to layout and everything in between. Elements of digital design, analogue design, design for test, verification, synthesis and layout will be needed for this project.
Your tasks will include:

• Architecture specification from requirements
• Source Code design generation
• Design for test
• Integration of methodology into flow
• Library generation
• Verification in multiple domains
• Synthesis, placement and routing
• Prototype of design on FPGA

• Interest for an in-depth understanding of product development in the semiconductor industry
• Good understanding of standard analog/digital circuits on IC level
• Structured way of work with good analytical thinking
• Fluent communication skills in English and/or German
