The Georg-Speyer-Haus in Frankfurt am Main is a private foundation and, as the Institute for Tumor Biology and Experimental Therapy, conducts internationally competitive, oncology-oriented research with a special focus on the tumor microenvironment (TME), with the aim of researching the molecular and cellular basis of tumor development for the development of new therapeutic strategies (www.georg-speyer-haus.de). The academic non-profit research institution is funded by the Federal Ministry of Health and the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art and cooperates closely with the Goethe University Frankfurt and the University Hospital Frankfurt. At the earliest possible date we are looking for a Head of IT / System Administration (m/f/d) Your tasks: Development and implementation of a future-proof IT structure, taking into account the highest data protection and security standards Ensuring low-disruption operation and continuous optimization of the IT infrastructure Ongoing network administration including monitoring, maintenance and error analysis to ensure optimum data throughput Configuration and management of the server landscape, including hardware and software components Installation, updating and management of software on all systems Implementing and monitoring backup systems and ensuring data integrity through external mirroring Creation and maintenance of system documentation and user manuals Supporting employees with technical questions and problems Your qualification: Completed training in the IT sector or comparable qualification Sound knowledge of network and system administration, preferably in a Windows environment (client and server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, Exchange, Office365) Experience with software distribution, database and network administration Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently High degree of independence, reliability and ability to work in a team Good written and spoken German and English skills We offer you: An international and attractive working environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure An interesting and highly autonomous area of responsibility A wide range of opportunities for work-life balance, including flexible working hours and support in reconciling work and family life Further education and training opportunities Remuneration according to TV-H with all social benefits of the public sector The position is initially limited to 2 years.
