We have a vacancy at the earliest possible date in Department 16 - Central IT Services as a IT Controller and Head of Department 16.1 - Information and Communication Technology (m/f/d) (EG 14 TVöD/ A 14 LBesG NRW) to be filled full-time. The position is divisible, provided that a specified coordination requirement can be met. Department 16 is the central IT service provider. Department 16.1 - Information and Communication Technology is responsible for the provision and operation of central and decentralized IT components. First-level support (IT hotline/ticket system) is also a core task of the department. Your tasks: As an IT controller, you will develop the IT strategy and management tools for IT and take on the operational management of the IT service. You are a driver of innovation. As an IT controller within the administration, you are responsible for dovetailing the IT strategy with the specialist strategies of other specialist and cross-sectional areas. Together with your department, you organize and ensure the operational operation of information and communication technology. As a cross-divisional office, you work together with many internal and external stakeholders and find joint solutions. Together with your department, you will play a key role in the further development of the IT infrastructure and IT security and thus make a significant contribution to the modern, efficient, secure and high-performance provision of services for the citizens of the district of Recklinghausen. With your service mentality, you ensure the service quality in the processes of IT operations and continuously develop them further in order to ensure a high quality of IT services for citizens and specialist services in the future. You and your employees design IT projects together with experts from the various areas of the district administration. With your high level of expertise, you advise the administrative management and the specialist services with regard to the hardware and software used. Thanks to your initiative and interest in IT topics, you are familiar with current developments in the field of IT. Your professional requirements profile: Interested parties can apply if they have a degree in computer science or information and communication technology from a university or university of applied sciences, or can prove that they have successfully carried out a corresponding activity based on equivalent skills and experience, or are eligible for career group 2, second entry level of the technical administrative IT service or the technical service with a focus on computer science/IT.
