For a multinational biotech company, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Recruitment Manager to join a growing team in Vienna, Austria.


This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping our talent acquisition strategy and establishing an in-house recruitment capability. As a hands-on professional, you will manage the recruitment for our international branches and lead the recruitment efforts for our local operations. Your expertise will help us centralize recruitment processes, reduce reliance on external agencies, and support our expansion into a larger organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Recruitment Planning:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and develop strategic initiatives to attract top talent.
    • Create and manage the recruitment budget, focusing on cost-effective hiring practices and reducing reliance on external recruitment agencies.
  • International Recruitment Management:
    • Oversee the recruitment process for all international branches, ensuring a standardized and efficient approach.
    • Build strong relationships with hiring managers across various locations to understand their specific needs and provide tailored recruitment support.
    • Implement best practices and innovative recruitment techniques to attract a diverse pool of candidates globally.
  • Local Recruitment Execution:
    • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process for the Vienna office, from job posting to candidate onboarding.
    • Source, screen, and interview candidates, ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
    • Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • In-house Recruitment Capability Building:
    • Design and implement training programs to enhance the recruitment skills of local HR teams and hiring managers.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the recruitment function.
    • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and identify areas for improvement.
  • Centralization and Communication:
    • Drive the centralization of recruitment processes across all branches to ensure consistency and efficiency.
    • Act as a liaison between international branches to share best practices and streamline recruitment operations.
    • Develop communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed about recruitment progress and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in a recruitment management role, ideally within a multinational organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in a hands-on role.
  • Experience with recruitment technologies and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Fluency in English and German; additional language skills (French) is a plus.
