The IRO Information Technology team is responsible for the overall planning, organising and execution of the group IT function at the enterprise level. The team is key to ensuring that the company’s IT strategy supports our operations to minimise costs through improving both performance and efficiency of our systems. The team aims to provide not only technical support and maintenance of existing applications but the development and implementation of new technical solutions. As the Manager of IT some of the key areas you will be accountable for:
Leadership - overall leadership and coordination of the Pac Al Strategic IT functions in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders.
Strategy development and direction - maintains effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies and sustaining operations across the Pac Al group .
Continuous improvement – optimise systems and services to ensure solutions are fit for size, purpose and cost effective. Define information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by continually evaluating organization outcomes; identifying areas for improvemetn ; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
Infrastructure optimisaiton - Lead the creation, implementation and sustaining of a robust and technically sound infrastructure and communications platform in order to deliver both general IT and ERP solutions . Mitigate risk through effective planning and testing of DR strategies across the group and ensure data preservation and integrity is maintained
Managing – Enterprise ERP and Infrastructure teams ensuring roles and responsibilities are matched against company requirements.
Financial – Maintain a strict cost management focus on IT spend and enterprise level recoveries. Manage and continually review vendor agreements for value against service As the successful applicant, you will have demonstrated experience in a multi-platform IT environment at a senior managerial level, preferably in the resources sector and in a geographically diverse multi-site environment. Knowledge of SAP, general networking and communication technologies is a fundamental requirement, as is proven experience in managing teams within these areas. Excellent communication, project management, budgetary and planning skills with a high attention to detail is required. Essential is a tertiary level qualification in Information Technology (or equivalent) at Degree level or above.
