About the Role
A key role within the HR department, this position acts as a strategic HR Business Partner for a dedicated organizational area within Global Blue.
The holder of this role ensures correct deployment of group and local projects and takes over a mentoring function to dedicated AVPs, Senior Managers, Managers and Team Leads; Supports Country HR Business Partner in collaborating with higher management (ExCom members, Managing Directors and VPs) and the Workers Council; Plays an active role in all stages of employee life cycle – from successful onboarding and further development to retention and professional separation; Provides excellent support to the employees; Closely cooperates with all external stakeholders; Takes care of HR topics related to the needs of the organization.

Responsibilities
- Strategic Partner to Business: client facing role; Proactively interacts and builds strong relationships with key stakeholders to develop and support the execution of HR services in line with Country HR Roadmap and corporate culture; Handles sensitive issues, provides guidance, ensures legal compliance.
- HR Business Partnering: provides expert guidance on HR policies, processes, and best practices; Manages complex employee relations cases and conflict resolution within the framework of Austrian legal regulations.
- Austrian Labor Law Expertise and Experience with Collective Bargaining Agreements: ensures all HR activities including employment agreements, leave requests, terminations, disciplinary actions adhere to Austrian labor law and the respective collective bargaining agreement; Provides guidance and expert advice to managers and employees.
- Employee Life Cycle Management: oversees and manages all aspects of the employee life cycle; Ensures compliance with Austrian labor law.
- Workers Council Collaboration: works in close collaboration with the Workers Council, builds strong relationships and fosters a positive working environment through a collaborative problem-solving approach.
- Project Implementation: leads local implementation of HR projects in alignment with Country HR Roadmap.
- Workday Management: manages all HR processes within Workday; provides technical support to people managers and employees; ensures compliance.

Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Austrian labor law and its applications
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience with collaborating effectively with Workers Councils
- Workday experience and expertise desirable
- Fluent in German and English
- Excellent standard of written communication
- Excellent time management skills, ability to organize, multitask, prioritize

Qualifications and education requirements
- University degree (preferably in human resources or business psychology)
- Certification of completed course in Austrian labor law
- Further training in HR-relevant areas (e.g. employment law, coaching, organizational development)
- At least 5 years of experience in HR, at least 2 years in a similar role as HR Business Partner or HR Generalist in a complex international environment
- Proven track record of successful collaboration in highly complex organizations
- Experience with interactions at all levels of management
