For the expansion of our EMEA team, argenx is looking for a Key Account Manager for Austria.
PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTIONThe Key Account Manager’s (KAM) main responsibility is to meet business objectives by removing key barriers to the best possible outcomes for patients and for argenx. These include local access hurdles, patient identification, market development, territory definition, and the creation of territory specific strategic account plans that are linked to the overall product strategy. The KAM will be accountable for area sales targets, market share and other related business performance metrics for their territory, next to taking care of marketing materials & campaigns. The KAM is the first contact for health care professionals and must be the champion for patient-centric and customer-focused strategies in the territory.
The KAM must work in close collaboration with other functions, including medical affairs, while ensuring full compliance with all relevant company, industry, legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProactively identify opportunities to accelerate growth of the brand VYVGART® in Austria, in partnership with the local medical team and the regional teams
Promote in all circumstances (remote interactions, face to face, staff meetings, congresses etc) safe and effective use of our product, in accordance with the product label to ensure that the benefits and long-term value of the product are fully understood
Develop, own, and drive territory and account plans, including customer targeting, in line with country strategy and in partnership with the local Medical Affairs team
Develop and execute on the marketing strategy and promotional initiatives including omnichannel activities for the brand VYVGART® for Austria, leveraging the strategy & assets developed by the regional team
Develop, own and drive access plan to secure inclusion in regional and local formularies. Follow accurately all the external stakeholder involved (Hospital pharmacist, local and regional stakeholder)
Achieve pre-launch and post-launch KPIs, including account plans and volume targets
Perform detailed analysis of the assigned territory to identify, assess, and develop relevant centers for diagnosis and treatment
Develop trusted relationships with a portfolio of customers to ensure competitive advantage, after developing a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner by collaborating with internal stakeholders (commercial, supply chain, and compliance) and external stakeholders (hospital pharmacists, tender managers, listing committees)
Manage and execute local meetings for physicians and other healthcare professionals to support diagnosis and optimal treatment, in collaboration with the Medical Affairs Team
Timely and accurate reporting and continuous diligent maintenance of customer relationship management (CRM) tools and systems
Conduct all activities to highest ethical standards in accordance with country code of practice and local laws and regulations
Establish and maintain contact with key customers and provide commercial and scientific services to ensure access at site of care, and that logistics are in place to list, order and administer product
Highly developed selling skills, commercial acumen and business insights
Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to different customer types and circumstances
High level of influencing and negotiation skills
Consistent successful sales track record (including specialty / hospital experience)
Significant key account management experience and capabilities
Previous evidence of successful working in a cross-functional team
Ability to translate business insights into commercial action plan

University degree in scientific or business-related subject or equivalent qualification
You have minimum 8-10 years of successful field experience in the biopharmaceuticals industry, partially within rare diseases and neurology
Experience within the neuromuscular field is an asset
Field based
Significant territory travel, occasional overnight stays when required
