The Territory Manager (f/d/m) is responsible the achievement of the sales targets in the territory, the successful representative will be able to drive a highly complex, multi-departmental, hospital sale, private lab or POC sale from the introduction of new diagnostic concepts through closure and implementation.
Via consultant approach you will get understanding of full Patient & Sample pathway. This will include relevant investigations with laboratory, infection control, quality assurance, hospital administration, executive staff, physicians and other healthcare staff to understand needs, develop the business case, gain consensus and close the opportunity.
This position is part of the Sales Team in Austria and is a field-based position with home office and company car.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop demand for, and adoption of, new assays and instrumentation
Cultivate strong working relationships throughout the Institutions from administration to technicians
Responsible for all communications between the customer and Cepheid personnel and for ensuring that new product implementations go smoothly
Manage contract compliance
Work closely with internal resources to develop and implement customer & region -specific sales strategies
Deliver presentations and proposals
Host and assist with trade shows, host user-group meetings
Manage customer data in the company CRM (SFDC)
Achieve instrument and reagent sales goals
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree in scientific fields of Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Oncology, Virology or similar
2-5 years of relevant work experience in a sale position within hospital and private lab environment
Strong track record of sales success, specifically in selling high value products
Expertise with demand creation and multi-departmental hospital sales is a plus
Fluent in German and at least conversation English language skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Solution selling / consultative sales approach
Outstanding presentation and negotiation skills
Customer focus and relationship building skills
Strong oral and written communications skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Skilled using a CRM application(s) such as Salesforce.com or others
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Travel ability 50-75% within assigned territory
