Mars is seeking a highly motivated Category Management Working Student (all genders) with a strong learning agility to join our dynamic team.

In this position, you will be offered a valuable opportunity to gain deeper hands-on experience in category management while contributing to various tasks critical to our business's success. You will work closely with the Category Management team to support in-depth competitor analysis, planogram creation, reporting, trade deck preparation, promotional insights, and more, and will learn how to grow brands to become category leaders.

This position is ideal for a student in their Master's studies who will graduate between summer 2025 and spring 2026.

What are we looking for?

• Student (all genders) with good academic track record at the end of their Bachelor's or beginning of their Master's studies.

• First experience in Shopper Marketing, Brand or Category Management, and/or Digital.

• Pro-activity, flexibility and passion to accelerate own projects.

• Analytical thinking and a structured way of working.

• Strong communication skills in German and English are a must (written and spoken).

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Power Point.

• Someone who is looking to start a career rather than for an in-between job.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Conduct comprehensive competitor analysis to identify market trends, product assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional activities generating valuable insights for decision-making.

• Assist in the creation of planograms and provide support to ensure efficient execution.

• Generate periodic reports for activities such as period close, innovation tracking, and other relevant metrics, leveraging collected data to identify insights and propose actionable strategies. Present findings during bi-periodical or quarterly meetings.

• Support in the development of trade presentations for customer meetings by gathering and organizing relevant data and insights.

• Analyze promotional insights tailored to different customer segments and actively participate in the Strategic Revenue Management (SRM) process through close collaboration.
