Summary
The Inside Sales engineer is responsible for generating, revising and sending the final version of a technical & commercial accurate quotation to the customer based on its requirements. The offer shall be in accordance with the IMI CCI Sales and Marketing Guideline and the subsequent costs & delivery time baseline.
Inside Sales engineer is responsible for keeping the Sales reporting systems (SFDC) up to date.
Responsibilities/Main Tasks
- Inside Sales engineer is responsible for generating, revising and sending the final version of a technical & commercial quotation
- Interlinks Outside Sales [OS] and Operations [OPS]
- Reviewing the customer specification(s), contract and Terms and Condition (T&C’s) & tying-in appropriate departments (e.g. Design Engineering, Quality Engineering / Quality Assurances, Project Management, Purchasing, Planning, Finance as well as internal and external resources like “STI s.r.l.” or “CCI Brno, CCI Korea, CCI India, CCI RSM”) which have to take ownership and commit on their assigned tasks and the related timing.
- Obtaining required pre-quotes to minimize cost / time baseline (e.g CCI Brno, STI, forging and casting sub-suppliers…), by utilizing Cost Control and/or Procurement dept of each manufacturing locations.
- Enforcing necessary technical & commercial customer / CCI agreements,
- Running the “R-Process” (incl. “R-Meeting”), as per process map.
- Calculating the project sales costs and to maximize the sales Gross Margin [GM] (“F1-GM”) based on the applicable programs & sub-quotes,
- Obtains all necessary approvals according A&L Schedule.
- Supporting OS during Bid Clarification meetings in order to close the deal (if necessary),
- Reviewing the customer purchase order against our latest offer and solving potential deviations,
- Compiling the completed Customer Order Review Board Package [CORB-Package] & to provide it to the lead of PM,
- Fill and update the necessary programs.
Profile/Qualifications
• Technical background (e.g. University Degree in Engineering, FH, HTL)
• “Hands on” mentality
• Good organizational skills - being able to coordinate/use/compile different inputs and provide deliverables in timely manner
• Trustworthiness
• High degree of accuracy
• Fluent in English (and German – recommended)
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel)
