We are looking for a Product Manager (PM) to focus on the advancement and commercialization of an AI-driven ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) solution.

The new position will work closely with colleagues from our application development team, our ESG data and methodology specialists, marketing team, and senior management to help shape the dynamic ESG software market.

Job Description

As a Product Manager (PM) in an established software company developing and commercializing a new AI-driven ESG solution you will have a multifaceted role that combines strategic vision, technical knowledge, and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work in SWC's ESG business unit, whose strategic direction you will develop and shape together with the management. You will significantly support the development of SWC's ESG-specific software solutions in active exchange with experts, partners and customers. As a member of the ESG business unit, your interest lies in sustainably positioning our ESG solutions on the global market. In this position you will have many opportunities and directions to develop your career. Further down the career path, promotion to Head of Business Unit is possible.

The main responsibilities include:

• Product Vision and Strategy:
  • Align overall product strategy with business goals and market needs
  • Co-develop a go-to-market strategy that positions our AI-driven ESG solution effectively in the market
• Market and User Understanding:
  • Analyze, validate and understand business challenges and issues faced by the customer around ESG (e.g., Regulatory Framework, CSRD Reporting, Climate Risk Management, Compliant with EU Taxonomy, etc.)
  • Gain a deep understanding of the ESG ecosystem, including market trends, competition, and user requirements.
  • Ensure that our new AI-driven ESG solution solves real business problems, fits market demands, and is usable across the organization, even by non-technical users
• Product Development Lifecycle:
  • Manage the product from conception to launch, managing the entire product development lifecycle
  • Co-design of intelligent features for companies, investors, analysts, etc. to address specific challenges in the ESG environment
  • Collaborate with data engineering, software development, design, user experience, and other cross-functional teams to develop and iterate on new features
• Innovation and Improvement:
  • Drive innovation in business models, new product segments, and influence product strategy
  • Ensure continuous improvement and quick iteration based on user feedback
• Technical and Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with your team, shaping goto-market communications, sales process and customer acquisition, and lead the handover to the Professional Services team for efficient customer onboarding and enablement
  • Work collaboratively with various teams, including software engineering, user experience, marketing, and our Chief Product Officer, to ensure cohesive product development and execution
  • Represent key stakeholders and ensure the solution fits the market's needs and delivers on revenue goals.
  • Communicate the product’s value and performance across the organization and partner network, ensuring that sales and marketing teams understand the ESG solution's power and potential
  • Run internal and external meetings and workshops to collect input, discuss requirements, report progress made and present outcomes
  • Help to create comprehensive documentation and training materials to enable users to maximize the benefits of our new AI-driven ESG solution

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

• In-depth knowledge and practical experience (e.g. as an analyst) in areas such as ESG regulations, sustainable business, ESG risk management or related disciplines
• Experience in the building of software solutions and system architectures in a B2B environment
• Knowledge and experience in requirements engineering, ability to translate business problems into technical requirements
• Interest in AI, knowledge and data modeling
• Strong curiosity, interdisciplinary mindset, and a strong desire to innovate or contribute in the areas of ESG and responsible AI
• Business fluent in English, other profound language skills are an advantage

Other qualifications and experiences that are an asset:

• Master's or PhD degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Information Science or similar
• Knowledge in Corporate Governance or ESG is a significant advantage
• Experience in knowledge management, text mining and natural language processing (NLP) as well as agile process frameworks such as Kanban and Scrum a plus
• Project management experience is of significant advantage

The minimum gross salary offered (full-time-equivalent) is EUR 65.000 p.a. - an overpayment is possible, depending on education, skills, and work experience.
