Head of Group Accounting & Consolidation

(f/m/d)Vienna Full time

Kapsch TrafficCom develops smart solutions to make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient. We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. We develop data and video analytics platforms, build on state-of-the-art technologies including AI, machine learning, big data and cloud services to enable the digitalization of mobility.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the ongoing preparation and delivery of financial statements for Kapsch TrafficCom Group, ensuring compliance with all external reporting requirements.
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies and controls, including group-wide IFRS knowledge transfer, as well as ensure fiscal controls.
  • Serve as the first contact for all questions regarding IFRS and legal consolidation, with a special focus on capital consolidation.
  • Lead audit procedures in collaboration with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Maintain accurate accounting and financial records, including the general ledger, financial statements, regulatory, and management reports.
  • Organize global financial processes and maintain ongoing communication with colleagues in subsidiaries and other corporate finance departments to ensure high-quality financial reporting.
  • Provide support for all ad-hoc requirements from the EVP Finance and the executive board.
  • Optimize and further develop our consolidation tool, Onestream, to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead the group accounting and consolidation team ensuring performance and excellent results.
Your Profile:
  • Completed studies (WU, FH) with a focus on business and finance
  • Broad finance knowledge with a deep understanding of IFRS and legal consolidation.
  • 5-10 years of experience with an international group in consolidation and IFRS reporting. Experience with listed companies is an asset
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Both German and English skills are mandatory
