As a University Assistant Praedoc you will join the research team at the Department of Musicology at the University of Vienna. The Institute was founded in 1898 by Guido Adler. With its four professorships (Early Historical Musicology, Modern Historical Musicology, Ethnomusicology and Systematic Musicology), twelve other full-time academic employees, lecturers, project staff members, administrative staff and around 900 students, it is one of the largest musicological institutes in the German-speaking world.
We are looking for applicants who are interested in qualifying themselves with their own research and subsequent dissertation in the field of ethnomusicology and who are willing to contribute to the diverse projects of our department.
