In this exciting position you you’ll design, manage, drive, and implement new beverage recipes and concepts in lab scale to enhance and continuously improve our product portfolio. Overseeing the entire journey from lab-scale experimentation to seamless integration into production is a pivotal facet of this position.
Moreover, the organization, planning and optimization of sensory test is an essential part of the job. Additionally, you’ll manage and track your projects independently.
Job DescriptionProduct related responsibilities
Sharing of product knowledge (including sensory trainings) inside operation departments
Continuous mentoring of the product portfolio over the hole life span with extra focus on sensory evaluation (development, modification product profiling, verification)
Support of newly developed products till a stable production is guaranteed
expansion and improvement of the sensory testing methods
Process related responsibilities
Organizing, assessing, and execution of laboratory and sensory trial documentation
Develop sensory and technical standards to maintain product excellence
Scouting and sourcing for new ingredients
Pro-active optimization of development processes
General management targets
Responsible for planning, organization and documentation of development projects, sensory tastings and sensory trainings
Good internal and external communication
Keeping track on latest state of research in the area of sensory science
Continuous improvement of beverage innovation standards and methods
Raise ideas and highlight areas of improvement to increase working standards inside Innovation department.
Keeping eye on newest technologies and developments on a global level
QualificationsFluent in English
Up to 3 years of professional experience in product development in the food industry. Of advantage is experience in flavor and sensory science
Master’s degree in food science, food engineering, food chemistry or similar. Alternatively, you bring a qualification in this field with relevant further education (e. g. “Meister”) and work experience
Strong analytical skills, solution- and process-oriented, structured, assertive, communicative and collaborative, team player
Additional InformationDue to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2.041 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
