The Berlin Police - Central Service Directorate - Information and Communication Technology Department (Dir ZS IKT) is looking for a permanent position for a Head of Application Development Group (f/m/d) Reference number: 2-127-24 Pay grade: EG 14 TV-L Full-time with 39.4 hours per week (part-time employment may be possible) Location: Platz der Luftbrücke 6, 12101 Berlin (with very good transport connections) We are looking for a responsible person with strong leadership skills who will share their skills and qualifications with us and apply them to demanding IT challenges. These are some of the important tasks that await you here: You will develop work instructions and internal regulations for operations and monitor quality measures for secure application development, You develop software strategies in line with the trends of comparable administrative organizations, You take on management responsibility for people in four specialist areas, e.g. by creating binding guidelines that are comprehensible to the members of your department as well as evaluating and optimizing work organization, individual skills development and efficient organization of training and development measures against the backdrop of constantly changing hardware and software technologies, structured production of relevant work group descriptions, requirement profiles and assessments, the creation of general personnel development concepts and committed participation in organizational measures, Management of or participation in personnel selection procedures, Managing and participating in projects, working groups or committees of the Berlin Police completes your area of responsibility. In the event of major incidents, you will be prepared to coordinate the necessary measures outside of regular working hours by being on call and/or arranging special working hours. You have: a university degree (Master's) in computer science or a comparable field of natural sciences and technology or equivalent skills and several years of experience in information and communication technology. Experience in IT-related project management is desirable. A university degree is deemed to have been completed if the course of study was completed with a university diploma or Master's or Magister examination.
