Quantum Industries GmbH invites a seasoned SecOps Engineer to join our team in Vienna and play a pivotal role in enhancing the security of our quantum key distribution (QKD) systems. As a crucial part of our security operations, you will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our cutting-edge QKD products throughout their development and operational lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Leadership: Oversee and elevate software security practices during the development and maintenance phases of our QKD systems. Implement robust security frameworks that align with industry standards.
• System Optimization: Collaborate with engineering teams to design, develop, and maintain highly secure and reliable QKD systems that are deployed globally.
• Cybersecurity Advisory: Provide expert guidance on contemporary cybersecurity measures, best practices, and potential vulnerabilities to continually refine our security posture.
• Certification Support: Assist in achieving and maintaining compliance with relevant security certifications and standards, enhancing customer trust and product marketability.
• Collaborative Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate security into all phases of our product lifecycle, ensuring that our systems are resilient against evolving threats.

We Seek:

• Professional Experience: Proven track record in designing, developing, and managing the security of highly secure software systems, particularly those in regulated or sensitive environments.
• Specialized Knowledge: Deep understanding of security architectures and defense strategies for security-sensitive and fail-safe systems, including embedded systems security.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Linux environments and programming experience in languages such as Python or C++ used in security contexts.
• Certifications: Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or related credentials are highly desirable.
• Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing security landscapes and effectively resolve complex security issues with innovative solutions.
• Professionalism: High integrity, honesty, openness, communication skills, team player, self-driven, and self-motivated.
• Attitude and Orientation: A great attitude, customer-oriented mindset, and a passion for making a difference.
• Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional language skills, particularly German, are advantageous.
• Citizenship: EU27 citicenship is mandatory for this position.
