Strategic/Tactical Buyer Mechanics (m/f/d)

In this position, you will play a pivotal role in the transformation process of our procurement function. With your knowledge and passion for procurement, you will work with a dedicated team to further develop the area.

Your Responsibilities:

* Monitoring developments on the international procurement market, conducting market analyses and identifying suitable suppliers as part of your category strategies.
* Independently establishing and maintaining long-term partnerships with suppliers, whilst managing a competitive supplier base
* Negotiating contracts and conditions with suppliers
* Developing criteria for monitoring supplier performance and carrying out regular performance checks
* Acting as a competent interface to internal partners such as the R&D and Production departments

Your Qualification:

* Technical and/or business education (HTL/Uni/FH)
* At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position (preferably in a production company)
* Outstanding experience and skills in stakeholder management under demanding circumstances
* In-depth knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex procurement challenges
* Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
