• Identify application trends and future requirements from customer discussions and internal system experts
• Drive the assessment of different innovative product ideas and by that influence our product roadmaps directly
• Be part of product development projects for discrete products targeting on board charger applications
• Be responsible for defining the right-fit product requirements, derive the target datasheet and be the internal technical interface to the product development teams in R&D and customers in creation phase
• Develop and coordinate projects in the area of performance benchmarking of our product performance in the application
• Drive activities from design-in to design-win at lead automotive customers developing charger applications used in electric vehicles
• Conduct intensive technical discussions with the customer, coordinate requirements and support successful product validation in system design
• Manage uncertainties in early development phases and contribute with solid assumptions to drive innovative solutions forward
• Validate functional prototypes and simulation models of our products
• Closely collaborate with our regional field application (FAE) engineering teams
• Technically lead and support team members

• A degree in electrical engineering, power electronics, physics or a related field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the power electronics (automotive, industrial, consumer) in the semiconductor industry or at a research institute (e.g. in Application Engineering, System Engineering, Hardware Development, Technical Marketing)
• Experience in setting up and running tests for power components
• Competence on power technologies such as SiC MOSFETs or IGBTs
• Know-how in the creation of collaterals such as technical articles, presentations containing complex technical content and addressing solutions
• Embrace innovative thinking and being open minded
• Practical experience in working as a project team member
• Very good communication and presentation skills in English, German as a plus
