POSTDOC POSITION (F/M/X)
(full-time, 40h per week)
in the Independent Research Group at IQOQI Vienna lead by Dr. Marios Christodoulou. The position is partly supported by the Quantum Information Structure of Spacetime project.
The focus is on interdisciplinary research in quantum information, quantum foundations and gravitational physics. Background in some of the fields quantum foundations, quantum field theory, quantum information, quantum field theory, quantum many body systems, quantum gravity or related fields is required. An interdisciplinary profile may be preferred.
Now the Institute for Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI-Vienna) in Vienna is offering a Postdoc position, with an initial contract of 12 months and possibility to extend another 12 months (1+1), to a highly motivated and well-qualified scientist to work at the intersection of the broader fields of Quantum Information and Quantum Gravity.
YOUR Task: - Theoretical research at the interface between quantum information theory, quantum field theory and quantum gravity.
- Supporting the group leader in preparing project proposals
- Involved in administrative and academic tasks and supervision of students
Your Profile: - PhD in quantum physics theory, ideally with solid experience in quantum field theory and interdisciplinary elements in gravity and quantum information.
- Good general knowledge of general relativity, quantum field theory, quantum foundations, and quantum information theory
