The Position
The Medical Expert, COPD is an internal therapeutic area expert for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease forming strong scientific relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders. In this role, you will strategically be accountable for the medical strategy , focusing on therapeutic area knowledge and medical projects to establish a new disease area.
Career Opportunities:
You will be accountable for the medical strategy within the therapeutic area COPD, identifying local evidence data gaps and provide input to iEP (Integrated Evidence Plan), local studies protocol design, study planning (including budget), input to site selection and feasibility assessment, answer scientific & medical inquiries from study sites, data dissemination strategy
You will offer expert opinion aligned with global therapeutic area team medical recommendations on scientific medical information to identify and develop effective peer-to-peer relationships to execute our squad strategies, while holding high ethical standards, compliance to Roche SOP and local/international regulations
You will identify and develop scientific relationship with TAEs (therapeutic area experts) who are sources of insight and advice to understand their views, preferences and interests and where Roche can partner with them to meet their needs where aligned with our strategies
You are managing the integrity and accuracy of scientific and medical data communicated both internally and externally for promotional and non-promotional purposes, also managing Medical Information activities in accordance with regional/local model, referencing global standard responses
You will be accountable for preparation and coordination of the launch process in close coordination with the responsible internal key contact stakeholders for access, finance, commercial
Qualifications and Experience
University degree, preferably in medical, healthcare or life sciences. In-field experience and experience with development and implementation of clinical trials is desirable
Experience in COPD Disease Area is preferred
Launch experience is advantageous
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English
