Convergent Science is an innovative, rapidly expanding computational fluid dynamics software company. We specialize in modeling turbulent reacting flows with our flagship product, CONVERGE, which is a revolutionary CFD software with truly autonomous meshing capabilities. Convergent Science is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, and has offices in the United States, Europe, and India.

For our location in Europe (Austria), we are seeking a full-time Key Account Manager for the DACH Region to join our Sales Team.


The position will require a self-motivated individual eager to work with existing customers to maximize the value CONVERGE provides. Additionally, this individual will explore opportunities to introduce CONVERGE CFD software to new organizations for a wide spectrum of applications. Client visits, presentations, attending trade shows, managing benchmarks, managing the sales process and negotiating licensing options will all be required on a regular basis.


  • M.S. or Ph.D. in a field related to mechanical engineering or economics
  • Sales experience in the software sector
  • Technical background (simulation software / CFD)
  • Experience working with customers in a sales setting for CAE software is required
  • Proven/demonstrative track record in sales is essential
  • Knowledge of the DACH region and its industries such as automotive, aerospace, process industry, oil & gas is a plus
  • Knowledge of CFD is a plus
  • Knowledge of application areas like ICE, pumps, compressors, wind turbines, E-mobility, aerodynamics etc. is an advantage (See homepage)
  • Knowledge of combustion, turbulence, and chemical kinetics is a plus
  • In addition to the technical knowledge required for this position, applicants should be outgoing, creative and highly motivated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent professional German and English skills necessary
  • Additional languages (e.g., French, Italian, Swedish, Spanish) are a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player mindset are required
  • Living in Austria or willing to relocate
  • Travel such as on-site client visits and conference attendance will be required
