The Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Vienna is an innovative and future-orientated faculty. Based on a strong disciplinary core, the broad range of subjects at the University of Vienna opens up many opportunities for modern computer science, which is increasingly entering application areas at the interfaces to the natural sciences, economics, medicine, social sciences and humanities.
Your workplace:As a Senior Lecturer, you will be employed in the field of programming languages. You will primarily organise and lead introductory and in-depth courses in the areas of programming as well as concepts and theoretical foundations of programming languages.
The position can also be filled on a part-time basis (20 hours/week).
The employment level of 40 hours/week includes an average teaching commitment of 14 semester hours per week of academic teaching, with an employment level of 20 hours/week an average of 7 semester hours per week of academic teaching.

Completed doctorate in the field of computer science/business informatics
Several years of independent teaching experience at a post-secondary educational institution
Enthusiasm for the transfer of knowledge and for university teaching
Excellent language skills in German and English (written and spoken) or willingness to quickly acquire excellent German skills if excellent English skills are available
Practical (professional) experience in larger software development projects
