The Faculty of Psychology at the University of Vienna comprises the Dean's Office, a StudyServiceCenter and four Departments. The Department of Developmental and Educational Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology is seeking to fill a “Prae-doc” position from January 1st 2025 until December 31 2028 (a later start is also possible, contract duration is 4 years starting from the beginning of employment). The position is assigned to the area "Educational Psychology and Societal Change" (Head Univ.-Prof. Dr. Thomas Götz). We are looking for an employee with a degree in psychology (Magister/Master) or a degree in a related subject (e.g. educational science) and a scientific interest in the field of educational psychology and emotion research in the context of education. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to work in a team as well as interpersonal skills. You will have the opportunity to work in a motivated, committed and internationally oriented team.

Fair salary: The basic salary of EUR 3277,30 (on a full-time basis) increases if we can credit professional experience.
Contract duration: The contract duration at the time of employment is 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the employment is automatically extended to 4 years if the employer does not submit a declaration of non-extension within the first 12 months.
