PhD Student Position (f/m/x) - ETL

The Institute for European Tort Law (CMC) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), Austria’s leading nonuniversity research and science institution, and the University of Graz is offering a

PHD STUDENT POSITION (F/M/X)

(part-time, 30h per week)

for a duration of 24 months.

• Participation in and coordination of international comparative legal projects (research focus: Austrian and European Private Law, Tort Law, Comparative Law;)
• Independent research
• Participation in English-language publications and research presentations
• English and/or German publications
• Submission of applications for projects with the EU, FWF or other funding agencies

• Master degree in law, with above-average success
• Dissertation project already ongoing
• Experience in comparative scientific work and publications
• Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written; further languages desirable
• Experience as a university lecturer desirable
• Experience abroad and/or ability to work in an international environment
• Good communication skills
• Team player, flexibility

• Interesting field of activity in an international environment
• There is the possibility of extending the contract

We offer an annual gross salary € 37.773,33 according to the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
