The Institute for European Tort Law (CMC) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OeAW), Austria’s leading nonuniversity research and science institution, and the University of Graz is offering a
PHD STUDENT POSITION (F/M/X)
(part-time, 30h per week)
for a duration of 24 months.
Your tasks: - Participation in and coordination of international comparative legal projects (research focus: Austrian and European Private Law, Tort Law, Comparative Law;)
- Independent research
- Participation in English-language publications and research presentations
- English and/or German publications
- Submission of applications for projects with the EU, FWF or other funding agencies
Your profile (professional qualifications): - Master degree in law, with above-average success
- Dissertation project already ongoing
- Experience in comparative scientific work and publications
- Excellent knowledge of English, both spoken and written; further languages desirable
- Experience as a university lecturer desirable
- Experience abroad and/or ability to work in an international environment
- Good communication skills
- Team player, flexibility

We offer an annual gross salary € 37.773,33 according to the collective agreement of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
