Senior Systems Engineer AT

We’re searching for a skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join a world-leading technology company serving the global travel industry. Working with one of the most dynamic environments in the field, you’ll have a unique opportunity to shape the infrastructure supporting a platform that powers travel experiences for millions worldwide.

In this role, you’ll be essential to the team’s success by enhancing the stability, scalability, and security of a complex infrastructure. You'll work on an environment integrating cutting-edge solutions like Citrix XenApp, VMware ESXi, Cisco UCS, and a mix of Windows and Linux operating systems, supporting both on-premise and data center locations. This position offers the chance to grow within a high-tech landscape while collaborating closely with development and product teams to ensure seamless performance and innovation.

• Collaborate with Product and Development teams to maintain a robust infrastructure, ensuring it can meet both functional and non-functional business requirements.
  
• Deploy, support, and manage server hardware (Cisco UCS) and software environments, primarily Citrix and VMware.
  
• Provide hands-on support for the Vienna office and an external data center, troubleshooting and managing upgrades.
  
• Partner with top vendors to acquire new hardware, manage contracts, and oversee maintenance renewals.
  
• Lead the planning and management of infrastructure changes to support growth and manage costs effectively.
  
• Be the go-to escalation point for complex technical issues and play a pivotal role in ongoing infrastructure enhancement projects.
  

What You’ll Bring:

• Flexibility, strong work ethics, and attention to detail, able to balance multiple tasks effectively.
  
• Proficiency in German and English.
  
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco UCS, VMware, Citrix XenApp, Windows, and Linux.
  
• Demonstrated success in managing vendor relationships and hardware contracts.
