Site Digital Technology Lead (m/f/d)
Join our team as a Site Digital Technology Lead in Krems, where you will play a pivotal role in driving our Digital Manufacturing strategy. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of our Global Animal Health Manufacturing IT team, ensuring the reliable, compliant supply of medicines and vaccines.
You will be accountable for the entire technology stack across all aspects of Operations, Supply, Quality, and Business support at the Krems site.
Key Responsibilities
Accountable for all relevant Digital Technology operations carried out at the site, ensuring that appropriate support to site operations is maintained and that all operational activities are compliant with regulatory, safety, cyber-security, business continuity, and financial requirements
Leadership of the site's digital technology team
Participate in the development of the Site Strategy and long-term Business Development Plan and provide leadership and direction to the business on a Digital Technology Strategy
Drive transformational change, continuous technological improvement, and innovation at the site
Accountable for the successful implementation of Digital Technology projects at the site – including where this is part of a larger initiative
Manages a small team of Tech Business Analysts responsible for building, motivating, and developing a highly capable team
Build a bridge and shared understanding between our local and global IT Teams
Act as IT Single Point of Contact for the site, provide business stakeholders with necessary feedback and input for business projects and IT operations
Continuously manage the site Digital Technology budget to meet annual profit plan targets; identify and achieve cost savings opportunities on both capital and expense spend
Ensures SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) and CSV (Computer System Validation) compliance according to our Company guidelines
Brings together the correct stakeholders to ensure compliance and sustainability of IT/OT solutions
Participate in regulatory audits of the site
Ability to travel – 10%
Education
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Technology/Science
Master’s Degree preferred
Required Experience and Skills
5+ years of related IT and/or OT leader experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or similar areas
Experience with Digital transformation in large organizations
Experience designing, implementing, and providing operational support of SCADA/DCS (Siemens PCS7), historian (OSI-PI), and/or MES system (PAS-X from Werum)
Understanding of ISA-88/ISA-95 Structure and Principles
Experience in integrating and supporting real-time shop floor and lab systems with appropriate levels of resiliency and performance
Understanding of manufacturing shop floor IT infrastructure concepts and design to fortify environments against growing cyber vulnerabilities and to enable system integration
Understanding of regulatory requirements that drive IT and OT delivery, including 21-CFR-Part-11, Annex 11, Good Manufacturing Practices, Computer Systems Assurance, track and trace, and other global regulatory requirements that impact IT and OT systems in Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain
Knowledge and Awareness of Industry 4.0 (IoT, Cloud, Data Analytics, Automation, Digital Twins, etc.)
Experience with working in a matrix organization environment and ability to influence other business leaders
Proven ability to communicate with and manage senior stakeholders
Strong communication skills with the ability to align the organization on complex technical decisions
Strong experience with Agile principles
Proficiency in German and English languages
