For the European Headquarter in Vienna and to support the team with focus on the Austrian entity as well as the implementation of corporate goals and in day-to-day tasks we are recruiting a driven and highly motivated

(Senior-) Legal Counsel (all genders)

fulltime | based in Vienna | hybrid

your responsibilties:

As a Legal Counsel, your mission will encompass providing strategic legal counsel across various facets of renewable energy projects, including onshore PV and wind development, M&A transactions, and contract negotiations. You will play a pivotal role in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, delivering corporate legal services, advising on real estate matters, and acting as the primary legal contact for operational business inquiries.

  • Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on matters related to renewable energy project development, financing, and operations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including power purchase agreements, construction contracts, land leases, and interconnection agreements
  • Assist in due diligence processes for project acquisitions, financings, and other transactions
  • Manage regulatory compliance efforts and stay abreast of changes in relevant laws and regulations.
  • Support the resolution of disputes and litigation, as needed
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement legal strategies that support business objectives
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on emerging issues impacting the renewable energy industry

your track record:

  • You hold a law degree from an Austrian university (Mag. iur./LL.M.), ideally with a business law focus
  • Admission to the bar in Austria or eligibility for admission
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on corporate, contract law
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy project development, finance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts in the energy sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
