Your Tasks
- Strategic direction and coordination of R&D program and international R&D projects in the field of new process technology aligned with R&D steering committee
- Developing and implementing innovative technology in cooperation with operations with focus on energy efficiency, fuel switch, carbon footprint, carbon capture, and digitalization
- Evaluating external developments with respect to applicability for our industry
- Optimizing production processes with respect to production output, energy efficiency, environmental impact and product quality
- Organizing and performing internal conferences and trainings
- Lead and develop a team of central (solid line) and local R&D/project managers (dotted line) and process engineers
- Responsible for budget for the department cost center
- Ensure
Health & Safety standards maintained in all aspects
Your Profile
- Senior leader with academic engineering background, preferably in the field of process engineering, ceramics, mechanical or chemical engineering
- Very good knowledge in the field of thermodynamics, thermal process engineering, heat pump technology, combustion technology, electrical heating of processes
- At least 8-10 years of professional experience in the industry preferably in the field of ceramic building ceramics
- Successful record of managerial responsibility (R&D and/or production)
- Experience to set up and implement international projects (R&D and investment projects)
- Abilities to lead a team of international senior experts
- Knowledge in cooperation with research institutes, universities and funding bodies
- Good convincing interpersonal skills and creativity
- Good project and people management skills
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Very good command of German and English
