Job Description
As a Frontend Engineer at Shopstory, you will work on our no-code automation platform focused on the marketing and ecommerce space. We take the power of automation that is usually reserved to developers, and make it accessible to everyone using our software.
In this role, you collaborate with peers from the engineering team and work closely with our product manager and CTO to solve challenging technical as well as UX-oriented problems. This includes creating an intuitive and extensible workflow builder, building modular components for our design system as well as broadening the functionality of our platform in the future with elements like dashboards, gamification and more.
Tasks
Your Mission
- Develop moderately sized features and improvements to our product by collaborating closely with our CTO Robert, Product Management and your team members from the engineering team.
- Take design concepts from ideation to a production feature, employing a user-centric mindset with an iterative and feedback-driven approach.
- Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
- Recognize technical debt, argue for its resolution, and implement solutions.
- Advocate and take ownership of improvements in product quality, design, accessibility, and performance. Solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity independently.
- Provide mentorship for Junior and Intermediate Engineers on your team to help them grow in their technical responsibilities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders outside of the Engineering team and communicate technical concepts to them effectively.
Requirements
Your Profile
- You have 5+ years of professional experience with elements of our tech stack, which includes TypeScript, React or NextJS, Vitest, Playwright and Git. Other Tech we are using in the Frontend: Zustand, Axios.
- You are able to turn rough concepts and ideas into implemented interfaces, taking UI & UX fundamentals into account.
- You are fluent in English, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in a remote-friendly and multinational work environment. Proficiency in German is a plus but not required.
- You are experienced in owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution.
- You are self-motivated and self-managing, with excellent organizational skills. You have a positive and solution-oriented mindset.

- Base salary starts at €63.000 year, with higher pay depending on experience and qualifications.
