Academy Scientist (f/m/x)
(full-time, 40 hours per week)
in the “Epigraphy” working group of the Department of Classical Studies, starting February 01st, 2025.
Your tasks -
Conduct research in Greek Epigraphy with a particular focus on Asia Minor.

Administrative support to the Epigraphy research group (formerly "Asia Minor Commission"), including editorial management of submitted manuscripts

Preparation of a publication in the research group series (TAM, ETAM, "Veröffentlichungen zur Epigraphik"), aiming for completion within two years
Your profile -
PhD in Ancient History or Classical Philology

Excellent command of Ancient Greek and Latin, as well as very good knowledge of the common conference languages (German, English, French, Italian), preferably also Turkish

Thorough knowledge of ancient Asia Minor

Experience in editing inscriptions
We offer The position will be advertised until the end of 2026, with the intention of starting the contract in February 2025.
