Design Engineer (m/f/d)
in different seniority levels (junior design engineer, design engineer) to start as soon as possible.

- You will contribute to the design and construction of bespoke lighting products, range from classic chandeliers to contemporary decorative luminaires and functional lighting solutions such as crystal chandeliers, ceiling fixtures, pendant fixtures, floor lamps, wall fixtures, table lamps or lighting systems. Design and constriction performance requirements have to be balanced with costs, manufacturability and serviceability. Your job embodies specification, design, technical budget analysis, critical component selection, integration, test planning, test execution and trouble-shooting
- You will be working in a multidisciplinary project team, aimed at realizing bespoke lighting products
- Generating drawings in various details from basic sketches to fully detailed production drawings
- Specify solutions for project requirements
- Documentation of design development, from early stages of design up to completed products
- Build up and maintain specialist knowledge on lighting theory, mechanics, electronics, system architecture
- The holder of the position reports to the department leader and is operational together with project managers
- Graduate Technical College (HTL or similar) – Technical University
- Technical degree in mechanical or mechatronics engineering, industrial design or similar
- Ability to create detailed mechanical engineering drawings and documentation
- 2D & 3D CAD proficiency (Autocad and Solidworks)
- Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude
- Team player
- Good communicational skills
- Business-fluent in English (German is considered a plus)
- Knowledge or interest in electronics is considered a plus

For this position, the minimum salary for full-time employment (38.5 hours per week) is EUR 37.500,-/ year (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte des Metallgewerbes VWG III). The company is prepared to pay a higher salary in line with the market and also performance based bonuses, depending on qualifications and previous experience.
