To drive value creation in the area of Agriculture & Food, we are now looking for a
Senior Associate / Manager (m/f/x)
with an academic background in agricultural sciences or agribusiness
1010 Vienna | full-time
with a strong desire to shape our companies, actively contribute, drive progress, and support our portfolio in achieving growth, efficiency, and success. In this position, you will be expected to work from Vienna and will need to travel frequently within and outside of Europe (e.g., USA, India).
TASKS THAT MATTER
- Drive value creation and potential investments/add-on acquisitions
- Act as sparring partner for the management teams of our portfolio companies in strategic discussions
- Prepare and build financial analyses and reports (e.g. liquidity plans, improvement of reporting structures, implementation of target/actual comparisons and variance analyses, interpretation and analysis of key figures for investments)
- Ad hoc market and strategic analyses (e.g. competitive analysis, market entry analysis, performance improvement initiatives)
- Collaborate in corporate planning and in ensuring a common delivery of our sustainable corporate goals (e.g. by defining strategic milestones and relevant KPIs)
- Active involvement in all aspects of transaction management
- Preparation of financial models, company valuations, investment and buy-out analyses
QUALITIFICATIONS AND QUALITIES WE APPRECIATE
- Sound industry knowledge (Bachelor's and/or Master's degree from a renowned university in agricultural sciences or agribusiness)
- Finance/economics/business knowledge considered a plus
- 2-4 years of experience in a consulting position in a reputable consulting firm or an agribusiness company
- Excellent MS Office skills (especially Excel, PowerPoint)
- Entrepreneurial approach, analytical thinking, investor mindset
- Curious, positive, pro-active and open-minded team player
- Excellent German and English skills are a prerequisite (Spanish skills of advantage)
- Strong interest in our sectors and sustainability topics
