To support our Medical Team in Vienna, we are looking for support as:
Medical Liaison Manager/Medical Manager (m/f/d) Oncology
General
- Providing scientific and medical expertise for the product/indication.
- Communicating relevant medical-scientific content of the product/indication considering the national strategy.
- Managing, implementing, and successfully executing medical-scientific activities in the assigned area for the assigned region, considering the national or regional strategy.
- Compliance with laws, regulations, codes, and Ipsen internal SOPs (GCP, HWG, AMG, etc.).
- Responsible for proper planning and adherence to the assigned budget in coordination with the Team Lead MSL / Head of therapeutic area

Medical Liaison
- Building and maintaining strong, sustainable partnerships with relevant partners (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.), as well as the Key Opinion Leader network in the assigned region.
- Engaging in regional professional societies to build and maintain a medical-scientific partnership.
- Scientifically based representation of the company at national congresses, symposia, investigator meetings, etc., and supporting field colleagues at relevant events in the respective region.
- Conceptualizing, budgeting, initiating, and tracking cross-regional projects and training in consultation with the Team Lead MSL / Head of therapeutic area.
Medical Advice
- Advising internal stakeholders (regional) on product-specific and beyond medical issues.
- Timely response to external (regional) product-specific and/or indication-specific inquiries (in-label and off-label) in compliance with relevant SOPs and local communication regulations, as well as in compliance with HWG.
- Developing medical statements and drug information in consultation with the Team Lead MSL / Head of therapeutic area or the responsible Medical/Scientific Manager.
Medical Development
- Discussing local study projects and further planning and initiating them in collaboration with the Team Lead MSL / Head of therapeutic area or the responsible Medical/Scientific Manager.
- Cooperating with the Clinical Operations Team and supporting non-interventional and interventional, Ipsen-sponsored studies in consultation.
- Conceptualizing, initiating, organizing, and conducting appropriate event formats to present medical-scientific data (e.g., round table meetings, local symposia, etc.).
- Proactively and reactively providing relevant medical, indication, and product-specific information to the respective stakeholders (e.g., internal and field staff, brand team, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.).
Qualification requires
- Biomedical, scientific university education, ideally at postgraduate level, e.g. MSc, PhD, MD, PharmD.
- Medical/ paramedical practice or research career (hospital and/or hospital-related, university research, pharmaceutical industry research, or medical affairs)
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry and proven experience as well as successful track record as an MSL or medical department professional
- Experience delivering scientific presentations and building relationships with thought leaders
- Knowledge of data analysis and statistics, as well as legal, regulatory, and compliance rules and guidelines relevant to industry interactions with healthcare professionals
- Good communication skills and the ability to quickly adapt to situations
- Fluent in German and English
