About the role

As our Technical Product Manager, you'll help define the strategy, roadmap, and deliver products for our technical platform. You ensure that we enable our product teams to drive quality, productivity, and sustainability excellence across the coffee value chain. To ensure that our platform delivers the highest value, you will work with an amazing team of engineers, designers, and other product managers as well as with other cross-functional stakeholders across the business. You’ll report directly to our Head of Engineering.

If you have experience developing amazing SaaS products, have a strong technical background, want to learn more about our vision, and are eager to take ownership of success, this is your role.

What you'll do

  • Actively manage the complete product development process, from ideation to launch and assurance of its ongoing success post-launch.

  • Define the platform roadmap, clearly communicate vision and success KPIs, such as DevEx or time-to-market, to all technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Work closely with your engineering team in prioritizing work, finding solutions that serve the business as well as the engineering department, while having our vision for the tech platform in mind.

  • Advocate for our internal customers by gathering and translating their feedback into clear platform improvements and go-live plans.

  • Work closely with our product development teams to identify and manage dependencies that impact platform features and delivery timelines, ensuring that cross-team priorities are aligned.

We are looking for someone with

  • Several years of experience in technical product management, with a proven track record of delivering valuable improvements for internal customers.

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for technical topics like authentication providers, API integrations, and developer experience. You don’t need to have been a software engineer, but you should be comfortable engaging deeply in these areas.

  • The ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex ideas into clear messages.

  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with the ability to combine data and user feedback to understand root problems and make hypotheses to solve them.

  • A proactive approach and ability to collaborate with stakeholders, from engineering to UX, marketing, sales, and customer support, to deliver impactful solutions.

  • Drive to explore new ideas, take calculated risks, and learn quickly from outcomes—whether successes or mistakes.

  • A willingness to try new things, take ownership, and learn from mistakes.

At this point, Cropster will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in Austria for this opening. For Non-EU applicants: please attach your work permit to your application.

What you can expect

The salary range for this position is € 60K to € 67K gross/year and we look at factors like your experience and individual qualifications to determine our offer, which includes benefits like an educational and wellness budget, remote work possibilities and working from home, flexible working hours, paid time for volunteer work, an endless stream of really great coffee, and much more.
