The FWF-funded Emerging Fields project A new Geometry for Einstein’s Theory of Relativity & Beyond (as part of the Excellent=Austria initiative) develops a completely new approach to spacetime curvature that promises applications in relativity and quantum gravity.
To support its consortium of five Principal Investigators we are looking for a
Scientific Manager (20h / week)to be based at the Faculty of Mathematics, University of Vienna and to start immediately or any time before February, 2025.
Your roleIn close collaboration with the consortium you will oversee the operation of the entire project. Your tasks will include:
Ideally you have a background in natural sciences or engineering (a PhD is not neccessary) and experience in (scientific) project management. You communicate effectively and have an excellent command of the English language. Being a team player, you also have proven your leadership skills. Knowledge of and experience in the Austrian academic sector and experience in leading (research) projects are an advantage. Moreover, proficiency with web design (e.g. in wordpress) or a commitment to learn it is required.
