Iron Mountain’s Global Records and Information Management Organization (GRO) is a revenue-driving commercial organization that focuses on developing, selling, and supporting solutions for customers in our regions and key global vertical industries that enable them to transform their business.
Due to Iron Mountain’s continued growth on a global scale we are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to join us in this new and exciting position to lead and inspire our growing team of Business Development Managers across Austria and Switzerland in achieving their ambitious sales targets.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, results-oriented leader, and a mentor capable of driving a culture of excellence, collaboration, customer centricity and accountability. This role involves overseeing and directly contributing to the team's sales activities across Austria and Switzerland and ensuring alignment with company goals and strategies.
To be successful in this position you will need to have a successful track record of selling solutions or services to large Corporates/Enterprise and a track record of winning new accounts. Ideally you will also have existing senior relationships in the DACH market that can be built on and extended by the team.
German and English language to a professional level will be a necessity for this position and additional French language skills would be beneficial (not a necessity).
Your role in our mission:
Proactively supports team members in their achievement of their weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly sales goals
Mentor and develop a team of high-performing Business Development Managers to achieve and exceed regional sales goals.
Set clear performance expectations, regularly monitor progress, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Foster a collaborative, high-energy environment that prioritizes innovation, growth, and customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement a regional sales strategy aligned with the company’s objectives and market opportunities.
Monitor sales performance metrics, including pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue targets, to ensure team success.
Support BDMs in building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
Actively engage, attend and support team members in high-level client meetings and negotiations
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
Valued skills and experience:
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a sales leadership role or will have experience of mentoring and supporting team members
Fluency in both English and German
Demonstrated experience in driving growth within a regional or multi-territory/multi-Country setting.
Experience of developing and implementing a regional sales strategy aligned with the company’s objectives and market opportunities
Exceptional leadership and motivational skills with the ability to coach and develop talent.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience of retention and development of high-performing BDMs preferred.
