We are a specialty vaccine company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases addressing unmet medical needs.
We have leveraged our expertise and capabilities both to commercialize three vaccines, including the world’s first and only chikungunya vaccine, and to rapidly advance a broad range of vaccine candidates into and through the clinic, including candidates against Lyme disease, Shigella and Zika.
Responsibilities
- Strategic management of the Company’s corporate website, country websites as well as Valneva’s Annual Business Report microsite including updating content.
- Defining and implementing Valneva’s social media strategy, growing its social media presence, notably by leading content planning and delivery and maintaining consistency across all its channels, with a view to develop the Company’s reputation as one of the world’s leading vaccine companies.
- Regular reporting on website and social media analytics against pre-agreed set of KPIs.
- Relaying Valneva’s news flow and elevating its visibility and reputation in Austria and Germany through proactive media outreach and earned public relations (traditional and online) opportunities, as well as the development of a strong relationship with the main healthcare journalists of both countries.
- Relaying and supporting internal communications activities on the Vienna site through the writing of intranet articles on local events and initiatives, and by supporting the organization of local events, working both with the Global Internal Communications Specialist and local HR.
- Support the VP of Global Communications and European Investor Relations, and wider team members with general communication projects including, but not limited to, the writing and/or translations of communication and investor relations documents in German, maintaining media databases and distribution lists, the publication of press releases and the company’s daily press review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- At least five years of professional experience in communications, preferably in the life science sector
- Highly proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite (notably Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro), Mailchimp, WordPress and other digital platforms including social media
- Skilled at video editing and design (desirable)
- Fluency in both German and English, written and oral
- Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to use discretion and tact when dealing with confidential/sensitive information

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is € 52.000 gross per year based on full-time employment. However our salaries are market oriented and in line with your qualifications and experience.
