Join the Red Bull Bike Network at our headquarters in Salzburg (Elsbethen), Austria, as part of a team responsible for creating content for all media channels. You'll act as a project lead and work with the rest of the team to develop comprehensive communication plans to activate paid, earned, managed and owned media across all bike disciplines from MTB to Road Cycling.
Job DescriptionIN A NUTSHELL
In this role, you'll lead global media relations and storytelling strategy, focusing on activating earned media, fostering content creation opportunities, and building impactful editorial relationships in the bike industry. You'll also manage projects from start to finish, ensuring clear strategic direction, compelling messaging, and effective stakeholder engagement within our communications initiatives.
GLOBAL MEDIA RELATIONS & STORYTELLING STRATEGY
In this role, you'll focus on earned media activation, creating opportunities for content creators, and amplification, while building high-frequency editorial relationships. You'll identify great story opportunities within the cycling world that are relevant to international media, facilitating the translation of marketing initiatives into engaging media products.
PROJECT & STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
As a key driver of our communications strategy, you'll take projects from A to Z, ensuring that strategies, tactics, and key milestones are set out from the beginning. You'll clearly identify the strongest story angles, the why, the messaging, and key initiatives. You’ll also act as a leader for communications peers in the Red Bull Media Network.
MEDIA MONITORING & ANALYSIS
As part of your responsibilities, you'll engage in daily monitoring and analysis of earned media, using data to drive tactical and strategic adjustments.
Qualifications6+ years' experience in a communications, social media or PR role. Bike industry and Media Company experience is highly valuable.
A proven track record of leading teams, projects and securing brand reach and engagement through earned media amplification.
Demonstrated experience of working with content creators, influencers and opinion leaders. Solid experience of managing freelancers and agencies.
Well-organised team player with a self-starter mentality and the ability to communicate efficiently and reliably in a multilingual, multicultural environment.
Fluent in English, other languages are considered an asset.
Additional InformationDue to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is €2,446 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
