ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Marketing Manager with a deep understanding of the database software market. The role consists in communicating the technical features and benefits of our real-time analytics database solution to both technical and non-technical audiences, and revolves around positioning, messaging, and sales enablement.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical product marketing, with a focus on creating interesting technical content and developing and executing strategies that drive product adoption, customer engagement, and revenue growth.

WHAT YOU'RE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Product Positioning & Messaging:
- Develop and refine product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences, including developers, database administrators, and IT decision-makers.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling content that highlights product benefits and differentiators.
Sales enablement:- Create high-quality marketing materials, including product videos, white papers, infographics, case studies, solution briefs, webinars, and blog posts.
- Collaborate with the product management and engineering teams to ensure technical accuracy and relevance of marketing content.
- Coordinate with external technical writing freelancers to grow momentum.
Go-to-Market Strategy: - Lead the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new product launches and feature releases.
- Work closely with sales, product management, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and support for go-to-market activities.
Customer and Market Insights: - Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Gather and analyze feedback from customers, sales teams, and partners to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Thought Leadership: - Together with our senior product evangelist, represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to showcase our database solutions and engage with prospects, customers, and partners.
- Develop impactful opinionated content about data engineering, data architecture, and data analytics.
Market Expertise: - Stay up to date on the latest database technologies, industry trends, and competitive offerings.
- Provide technical expertise to support product marketing initiatives and ensure alignment with customer needs.
YOUR SKILLS
- English native speaker preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years of experience with databases or data platforms. 5+ years of experience in technical product marketing.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of database technologies, trends, and market dynamics. Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, cloud databases, data pipelines, data analytics, data warehousing, or related fields.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven marketing and performance analysis.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
