Your personal sphere of influence:We are seeking support in Scandinavian Studies! As a university assistant (Prae doc) at the Department of European and Comparative Literature and Language Studies, you will join a highly engaged team that offers a supportive and collaborative environment, as well as access to ongoing research activities. This Prae doc position is assigned to the Chair of Scandinavian Literary and Cultural Studies.

The position has a total employment duration of 4 years. Initially limited to 1.5 years, the contract is automatically extended to 4 years unless the employer submits a non-extension declaration within the first 12 months.
Your future tasks:You actively participate in research, teaching and administration, by
• Signing a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 months
• Working on your dissertation and, as far as possible, completing it
• Contributing academic publications/ presentations
• Participation in and independent teaching courses in accordance with the provisions of the collective agreement
• Executing administrative tasks
• Organizing meetings, symposiums, conferences
• MA degree in Scandinavian Literary and Cultural Studies
• Doctoral research related to the research interests of Scandinavian Literary and Cultural Studies
• Excellent command of written and spoken German and English
• Confident command of a Scandinavian language (Danish, Icelandic, Norwegian or Swedish)
• Strong ability to work in a team
Additional skills and competence (desirable skills):
• Experience in a Scandinavian country
• Basic knowledge of university processes and structures
• Basic teaching experience
