As a central facility, Kiel University's Computer Center (RZ) is responsible for the planning and operation of university-wide data communication, high-performance central computer and storage resources in various performance classes as well as central applications for research, teaching and administration. We are looking for a*n at the earliest possible date User Service Manager (m/f/d) Setup: Computer Center of the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel Ludewig-Meyn-Straße 4 24118 Kiel Scope: 38.7 hours (100 %) Remuneration: up to pay group 11 TV-L (if the collectively agreed and personal requirements) Appointment period: at the earliest possible date for an indefinite period Application deadline: 09.02.2025 Your tasks: You manage the back office of the user/identifier administration. This includes, among other things: Quality assurance for the processes of managing identifiers Coordination of ID management processes with the other data center departments Further development and maintenance of these processes as well as clarification and processing of complex (non-standard) processes in data center identification management. You organize the back office of the data center's own ServiceDesk. This includes: Collaboration in and monitoring and quality assurance of the ongoing work organization of the data center service desk Optimizing the workflows for processing processes in the ticket system Expansion and quality assurance of data center documentation Clarification, processing and management of complex (non-standard) requests Observation, analysis and preparation of the requested range of topics as input for strategic planning by the data center management You are responsible for the integration and administration of orders and connections of the university's telephone system in the ServiceDesk portfolio. Your profile: You have a university degree in a technical, scientific or IT field or training as an IT specialist with several years of experience in the IT sector. University graduates from other disciplines are also eligible, provided they have several years of experience in first-level IT support. You have a pronounced affinity for IT with practical experience. You are business fluent in German (C1) and have a good command of English (B2) You are confident in the use of desktop operating systems, Office programs and web-based information systems. Personal skills: You have strong communication skills and a goal-oriented way of working, the ability to work in a team and under pressure.
