MAIN PURPOSE OF THE WORK:

The service engineer becomes an expert in service, maintenance and installation.

By bringing technical knowledge to day-to-day service operations, an increase in customer satisfaction and support of product sales is expected.

REPORTING LINE:

Customer Services Manager or Team Leader

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The established procedures for Malvern Panalytical Support Group must be followed.
  • Ensure that overall customer satisfaction is maintained at the highest possible level by responding quickly and courteously to customer requests, needs and/or complaints
  • Timely execution of assigned service orders. These must be completed promptly. Service orders include installation and performance validations using Company-certified procedures; On-site and remote problem diagnosis and system repair; Align, repair, replace components and circuits as needed; Assembly of instruments and devices and their calibration.
  • Training of customers in the operation of the purchased device. This includes the use of software, hardware and consulting to measure customer samples.
  • Entering accurate information from area customers into Malvern Panalytical's IT systems and maintaining the data.
  • If necessary and requested by the service manager or team leader: support in the sale of new products, e.g. through customer visits, participation in product demonstrations and similar activities.
  • Manage expenses according to business travel policies.
  • Management of manual storage and tools. This includes placing replacement orders.
  • Travels as needed to fulfill the above responsibilities.

EXPERIENCE, REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • BSc Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Mechatronics or comparable,
  • Flexible and customer-oriented,
  • Strong problem-solving skills,
  • Excellent social and communication skills,
  • Fluent in English,
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software,
  • Good knowledge of IBM-compatible computers and their operating systems as well as previous knowledge of a business management system, such as SAP and SalesForce/ ServiceMax, would be an advantage,
  • Willing to travel within the country and occasionally internationally.
  • Valid drivering license for cars
  • Proven experience in a customer service environment is an advantage
  • Communication skills at all levels and the ability to behave in a friendly, open and professional manner are required.

Service-Ingenieur (m/w/d)

Einsatzort: Österreich

Malvern Panalytical ist weltweit führender Anbieter von Labor- und Prozessmesstechnik. Unsere Geräte werden in der Qualitätskontrolle, Prozesssteuerung und F&E zur Struktur-, Element- und physikalischen Analyse eingesetzt. Die Anwendungsgebiete reichen von Baustoffen über Metalle bis hin Pharmazeutischen und Biotechnologischen Produkten und Nanomaterialien. Der Kundenkreis im Bereich F&E umfasst vor allem Anwender aus dem akademischen Umfeld (Chemie, Biologie, Geologie, Mineralogie, Kristallografie, Physik, Materialwissenschaften, Werkstoffentwicklung) und der Hightech-Industrie (Pharmazie, Life Science, Stahl, Zement, Petrochemie, Halbleiter, Solar).

In Ihrer neuen Funktion sind Sie verantwortlich für die Installation, Wartung und Instandsetzung unserer Systeme in Österreich.

Ihr Profil

  • Ausbildung (HTL, FH, Universität) im Bereich Elektrotechnik / Elektronik,
    Physik, Mechatronik sowie verwandter Studien der Ingenieurswissenschaften und vergleichbare technische Bildungsgrade
  • Erfahrung in der Konfiguration von Computersystemen und Software
  • 3 Jahre Erfahrung im Service von komplexen Systemen
  • Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsfähigkeit, Team- und Zielorientierung
  • Strukturierte, eigenständige sowie selbstmotivierte Arbeitsweise
  • Analytische Denkweise
  • Hohe Reisebereitschaft (österreichweit)
  • Erfahrungen im Umgang mit Röntgentechnologie sind ein Plus
  • Gute Sprachkenntnisse in Deutsch und Englisch
