The University of Vienna plans to expand the existing Research Data Management services by offering discipline-specific support through a new Data Stewardship program tailored to meet the discipline-specific needs. The Centre for Microbiology and Environmental Systems Science is therefore looking for a highly motivated person (m/f/d) with professional experience in data management and processing, quality control, data evaluation and analysis or related fields for the position of a Data Steward. The position is initially limited for a period of 1 years. The position may be extended on mutual agreement.
Your personal sphere of influence:As a Data Steward at the Centre for Microbiology and Environmental Systems Science you will support the scientists in the sustainable handling of research data and the development of strategies for discipline-specific and cross-disciplinary research data management that complies with the FAIR principles. Together with the researchers at the Centre, as well as in exchange with experts from the research-supporting services of the University of Vienna, the Data Stewardship Coordinator of the and data stewards of other faculties, you will further develop Research Data Management within the Centre.
