Lead Solution Architect (m/f/x) - Freelance

For my key-customer in Vienna, I´m currently looking for a freelance Lead Solution Architect (m/f/x) who can join immediately in a big IT Transformation project.

Framework:

• Start: ASAP, latest by middle of April.
• Capacity: full-time
• Length of service: 6 months (+ extensions)
• Location: Vienna, Austria
• Workplace: Hybrid, 50% on-site in Vienna and 50% homeoffice
• Languages: German and English, both required in fluent level (spoken and written)
• Sector: Insurance/Banking

About your profile (all must):

• +4 years of professional experience as Solution Architect in big IT transformation projects.
• Prior experience in team management and coordination tasks
• Very good communication skills in both fiels business and technical level, in German and English.
• Team and solution oriented personality
• Availability to work on-site in Vienna 50% of the time

Nice to have: prior experience in Insurance/Banking sector

What you can expect from this role, two areas of activity:

Architecture team leadership:

• coordination of internal and external IT architecture work
• moderation of regular meeting
• progress monitoring
• representation of the IT architecture to other stakeholder groups, in project meetings and committees.

IT architecture work: Coordination and collaboration on solution concepts for application and integration architecture for the reengineering of legacy applications (IBM mainframe) into a modern technology stack (React.JS, Java 21 LTS / Quarkus, MS SQL Server, RedHat OpenShift).
