The Max Planck Institute for Human Development is a research institute in Berlin with currently around 350 employees from all over the world. We are looking for a*n at the earliest possible date IT System Administrator (m/f/d) (TVöD E10; 39 hours per week, permanent) Your area of responsibility You will complement our Infrastructure service team in system and network administration. The service team is responsible for the operation of a hybrid cloud environment. From our own data center to LAN, WLAN and WAN networks to Azure, M365 and JIRA, we ensure smooth operation. Your tasks include: Maintenance, optimization and automation of our IT infrastructure Developing ideas and concepts to continuously develop our IT infrastructure Support for Microsoft Windows servers Administration and maintenance of our storage systems Programming scripts for the automation of processes Support for cloud-based services (Azure Entra ID, VDI, Exchange-Online) Co-support and support for JIRA Support of the on-premises virtualization environment Support of our Kubernets and Docker Swarm environment Your profile You enjoy working with people, have teamwork and communication skills and are able to work independently. In addition, you have a degree in computer science or a related subject or have completed training as an IT specialist, supplemented by equivalent knowledge and experience. Two years of experience and responsibility in system administration Sound knowledge of network infrastructure and server operating systems In-depth knowledge and experience with Active Directory and Powershell Experience in the administration of M365 and Entera ID Experience in the administration of JIRA service management projects and/or programming of JIRA workflows is desired Commitment and pleasure to support and further develop a wide range of technologies in a committed and collegial team.
