Your Role
We are seeking a passionate media asset manager to maintain our internal media database and make sure colleagues find audiovisual material and stories they need. In this role, you keep the file structure and meta data clean, train staff in the use of the database and support where needed. You are also the main point of contact for the company providing the backend solution (CANTO). Finally, you keep an eye on new developments and introduce changes to the system within the organisation.
Tasks
- You are the managerial mind behind our DAM (digital asset management) system and responsible for the organization of media assets like photos, videos, publications, etc.
- You are responsible for the management and development for the data base structure our system: CANTO
- You develop processes to internally distribute and facilitate content usage
- You collaborate with key internal stakeholders (e.g., content managers in Africa) to process digital assets and you guide a group of admins
- You keep the internal learning tool regarding the use of DAM system ‘CANTO’ up to date
- You are a single point of contact for internal users that are looking for media assets
Requirements
- You have an educational background in this field and interest in audiovisual content production
- You like to keep a close eye on details and act as the organisational librarian for media, caring about the user experience of our database
- You have a good visual memory and experience in visual communication
- You enjoy working in a mulit-cultural team and to share, acquire and develop skills and knowledge
- You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German
- You have experience or interest in working within an international, multi-cultural environment.
